The Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GOI) has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous, and self-sustained premier testing organization under the Societies Registration Act (1860) for conducting efficient, transparent and international standards tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admissions to premier higher education institutions.
The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) to the NTA from 2019 onwards.
JEE Main 2024 Exam Dates have been announced for both sessions. It will be conducted between 24th January to 1st February 2024 for session 1. For session 2, it will be held between 1st to 15th April 2024. Ministry of Education, Govt of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting Joint Entrance Examination (Main) to National Testing Agency (NTA) since 2019 onwards. JEE Main is a highly renowned engineering entrance exam which is every year conducted on nationallevel. Through this exam, admission is offered to candidates in UG Engineering programs like B.Tech/ B.E/ B.Arch/ B.Plan at NITs, IIITs, CFTIs & various universities/ institutions recognized by participating state government.
The exam is divided into two parts – Paper 1 for B.Tech/ B.E and Paper 2 for B.Arch/ B.Plan. For the candidates desirous of admission into IITs, JEE Main also offers as an eligibility test for appearing in JEE Advanced.

As per the new changes introduced, The JEE Main 2024 exam will be now conducted two times – in the months of April & May. The exam will be held separately for Paper 1 (B.Tech/ B.E) and Paper 2 (B.Arch/ B.Plan).

The examination will comprise of two papers, i.e. paper 1 (for B.E/B.Tech) and paper 2 (for B.Arch/B.Planing). The detailed JEE Main exam pattern for both papers is mentioned below:
